I Adore Birds...

....I really do....even pigeons.....such lovely colours and I've never believed they're as goofy as folk tell me they are......until today.

There is a really attractive pigeon trying desperately to mate with one of the metal chickens I have dotted around my lawn.....

He is cooing....nudging and more......

I feel I should bring him in for the little chat......☺

I have a pair of wood pigeons who visit my garden throughout the day. They are always hungry! I've taken to putting slats on my covered birdtable so they cannot get under the roof and eat everything. They have their own patch where I throw a few seeds down for them. They nested in my tree last year. Would be nice to see them do that again this year.

Some are very similar to those, DT....mostly gifts from folk who like to add to my odd garden...

TTG....It's been years since I had a wood pigeon nest in my garden....such a flimsy nest it seemed, but right outside my little girl's window....a fantastic view....
I used to have to put the hose sprinkling on the trunk to deter the neighbour's cats.....☺

Lol! Lol! Smow! This is a serious situation indeed.....imagine what would happen if all our birds did this.....hour upon hour perched on a metal bird...working their socks off.....and no little eggs.....what's happening to our birds?

I mean, I'm ditzy.....but not ditzy enough to mate with an inanimate object.......ahhhh.....on the other had....I'd forgotten the first MrG.... Oh well.......☺☺
