I have never used one, but think it works by pulling the hairs out.

Its absolutes agony I bought one but I had to return it- it was way too sore- luckily mine had a money back guarantee. Go for waxing instead it doesnt hurt half as much !

thanks

I have one and it really really hurts but once you use it a few times you get used to it. Its a little thing that spins really fast and has loads of tweezer like things on it.. they open and close and grab hairs as they spin.. pulling them out. It doesn't sound good and it is painful but its alright. I guess.. Lol.

Ruby you must be hard as nails I think its torture ! Your middle name should be rockhard ! xx

Hahaha. Ruby 'rockhard' Rose! Thats me. ;o)

I'm not denying it f*cking kills but its not as bad the next few times. You get used to it. I still can't really do my legs with it as they hurt but bikini line.. no probs. Lol.

I bought one becuase I was so fed up spending ages in the shower shaving my legs. It had the money back gaurentee, and an ice pack thing that you would freeze first then run over your legs to numb them. I only used the ice pack thing the first time, as although it was agony, the very cold leg made it feel worse! I now only need to do my legs maybe once a fortnight, less than that sometimes (depends on how long I actually spend doing it) and wouldn't go back to shaving. I'm not gonna pretend it doesn't hurt, the first time was awfull and I hesitated about finishing the other leg! But I kept it up, and it's worth it. Each time I do it, the first couple of strokes are a bit uncomfortable, but after that it's fine. I would describe the 'pain' as like pins and needles, uncopmfortable rather than painfull. But in saying all that, I still shave my underarms, that takes no time, and I think it would really hurt under there!

I bought the braun epliator over the weekend, the one with the ice pack and the underarm/bikini line attachment. I tried it on my legs without the ice pack and it did feel rather sharp and unfomfortable. So after doing both legs, yesterday I tried it again even though my legs were smooth due to epilating the day before, and to my amazement, it still ripped out hairs about 2-3mm long...and it didnt hurt!!...

I think its great...although I did attempt to do under my arms with the underarm attachement and it ripped em to shreds!...They actually bled! So I think I'll stick to shaving normally under my arms unless I pluck (no pun intended) up the courage to attempt them again!

Under the arms is far to delicate for the Epilator I feel. I can't even think about how much that would hurt. The legs and bikini line is fine though but underarms are too soft.
