Depends on how many SCART sockets you have in each! If you only have one socket on each, that will work or I generally find that one end in "TV" or "output" on the "player" and the other in "input" or any of the "aux" sockets on the "recorder" should work. Then just use the "aux" channel on the recorder (or whichever aux socket you plugged the SCART into). If you are being naughty with a pre-recorded tape, it may not work due to copy protection.
If not you can do it with a basic RF cable (the one that goes from your video to the aerial socket of your TV. Just plug it into another video and then tune a spare preset of the second video into the other one. The quality isn't so good, but it does work
