My son lives in London, and voted in the mayoral election recently, so he is obviously registered to vote in elections there.
He also has a postal vote from my home. I know he is only allowed one vote in any election, but I was wondering how would anyone know if he used both votes?
I'm not suggesting he would, just wondering how people could check these things.
Not sure what the law is now, but 40 years ago, when I was at university, I was registered at both my home and my college. I could only vote at one place in a general election but could vote twice in a local election. I suspect that in a national referendum he will only be allowed one vote.
