Its just struck me that it might help if there was a specific section for telling mods that there is a spam posting that needs their attention?...or would it get misused?

I doubt it would even be considered woof, as many ideas, and suggestions have been put forward in the past, but have never come to anything.

I remember the Ed asking for ways of improving the site a long time ago, and there were many good ideas, plus two from me, but nothing happened.

But good luck with yours!
You can always alert a mod in the title of your post; the mod will then read the post and act accordingly.

I am thinking though that if the place is busy then the post alerting the mod would fall off the latest post list.......it was just a thought....I guess if the mods would find it useful, its up to them to take it further :)
During the day no problem, but there's always the late night mod or early morning mod floating about.
I am not in favour of moderators to me it is a case of power should stay with the eds unless the mods are paid?but power corrupts
You'd rather have the site full of spam, advertising, trolls etc until an Editor is on line?
I always assumed that when I used the Report feature, it would alert a mod.

I'm very disappointed.

I'm not. Mods have been known to abuse their position. I'd rather they didn't have more.
*more power*.
