I have been given the words "ie sv poi conv" and told that they translate into "I am little known" and asked to confirm. Unfortunately I do not recognise the language. Can someone help, please?

I dont know either except that the conv looks similar to the french conu (understand)
Looks like the kind of thing found in manuscripts from the Middle Ages; a Latin/Old French vernacular.

cf. modern French "peu connu" - "little known"
Je suis peu connu - ie su poi conu
I'm almost positive that's Mediaeval French (14th century or thereabouts)

Thank you everyone, Clowntickle, kempie and Pressgang1. Mediaeval French it is, and I'm very much obliged to each of you.
