Hi there, I have to go to a wedding this summer and I need an outfit to wear, firstly I dont usually go to weddings so not sure on what to wear. By the way I am female and 23, I havent worn a skirt or dress since 1989 or something close that lol. I would like to be able to wear something girly (which is unlike me). Are there any websites that are useful in suggesting what not to wear and what to wear for body shape/size etc.. like what you see in the girls/womens mags we all tend to buy. I have trouble finding clothes to fit me as I am quite tall and not stick thin, so a website with a little insight could really help me before I go shopping. Anyone know of or use a site or something simular that you can recommend I would be grateful.

Either that or I would like a corset type bustier top, to wear with trousers and a jacket - smart and more comfortable for me I think. But I love black and I know its a no no for black and white in weddings, I am the worst clothes shopper that ever lived I think. lol.
I`m quite tall & like you don`t intend to wear skirts/dresses. Although I`m a lot older than you, I had to buy an outfit for my son`s wedding so know what you`re going through. What I did was look on the sites of different catalogues, order LOADS of different styles & tried them at home in comfort. As you don`t wear skirts/dresses often, it would be perfectly acceptable for you to wear a trouser suit of some sort. Good luck. The site I used was jdwilliams. They have a link from there to many others.
Have you tried Next they have some lovely outfits suitable for weddings and not overly expensive, why not try a long floaty skirt and a smart jacket or smart trousers and a pretty blouse. I alway's do what beejaybee suggested and order loads and try it on you may put on a skirt and love it - you never know till you try!!!

I hope this helps....you put your basic shape in, and it gives you hints and tips.

for an outfit, i would go to Monsoon...they have some lovely stuff...all good lengths for tall people too!!

Nummy is right - Monsoon have loads of great outfits but also have a look around - 3 or 4 weeks ago I bought a great red linen dress with matching jacket from Lewis'. It is long and very flattering to someone who isn't stick thin (me!!) and I thought it looked great when I wore it to a wedding yesterday.
