Does Woman Weight Really Matter That Much To Men?
19 Answers
I was a very attractive and slim petite girl a few years ago and now I am obese. Many guys used to hit on me all the time. NOW, it seems everyone thinks I am an unattractive even if I am young. Does woman weight really matter that much to men?

Overweight women just don't do it for me, even if they are beautiful looking.
I suppose Women are just the same, they have their likes & dislikes, some like the 6 pack type, and others like the chubby, stocky body.
We are all different, fortunately!

Maybe you're not as self confident as you were when you were slimmer. if you're unhappy with how you think you look, calling yourself 'obese', you might be unconsciously sending that signal to the men you meet.
If you're happy with yourself people pick up on that and see an attractive confident woman whatever the weight.

Different folk rate different aspects differently. Some may be put off by large curves and the thought of rolls of fat. Others would find their attraction to be minimally affected. Whilst some would find it a turn on. If you're considering the overall effect then since more will be less pleased with a move away from a healthy average size than consider it an advantage then clearly interest overall must reduce. (BTW it's likely to be shape rather that weight that is the issue.)
But don't let it worry you too much (unless you are risking your health). Only if you are desperate to be the centre of attention is it an issue, since presumably you want to hook up with someone who likes you for being you.

Look at it this way:
Do women fancy fat men?
Do men fancy fat women?
Depends:
Some men rate the sex act as important in a relationship in which case a fat woman is at a disadvantage.
However, other men need companionship, security, and a provider of a "good house" in which case, with sex not mentioned, the fat woman would score heavily against the thin woman.
It is all about priorities.
Me? I wouldn't entertain a heterosexual relationship with a fat woman.

I see a lot of fat women with skinny men. I'm not sure what's going on there. None of the women are beautiful, TBH.
Toosweet, you say you were slim a few years ago. Could you lose some weight? Bear in mind though that no one is as good-looking at 40+ as they were at 20. (I don't know your age, of course).

It matters to MrAsk. I had always been slim but in recent years since I gave up smoking and lately I fell in the garden and twisted both ankles quite badly, as a result no exercise so I am about two stone overweight. He is always on at me to get the weight off and I know I should. But I am finding it difficult to lose it. I have to say I do not like men to be overweight
My OH is very overweight and while I love him, I am embarrassed for him while he's at a swimming pool on holiday or standing in front of the table at a buffet. I know the OP was about women's weight, but I think it applies to both sexes. If you have a beautiful face you can get away with being fat. (A little bit). If not, no chance. Sorry.
I look OK because I'm tall; but I am 2 stones over what I was in my prime. (Mind you that was 5'8" 36x24x36, so I was pretty fortunate). I fought my way back after having children - but the menopause has got me. Not long ago I tortured myself by existing on fewer than 1,200 calories a day for a week (I used to lose half a stone doing that) and didn't lose any weight whatsoever - not even the water, which goes first.
I eat less than half of what Mr. J2 does, these days. Zilch! Given up really.
