Wonder who chooses which acts are on which night? Seems unfair to me that 6 performances tonight were worthy of going through - all the good ones are on together. Other nights there have been lots of rubbish acts and difficult to choose one worthy act. So this means some excellent ones tonight will be eliminated purely that they are up against equally good ones and only 2 can go through to the final.

.... the one which went straight through to the final tonight (the impressionist) wasnt half as good as some of the others (in my opinion!) I didnt know any of the characters he was doing, and they were only identified by the pictures. Dreadful.

Obviously the person in charge used the age old accurate method of pin in list.

I'm not sure Paul .... I think the producers want a good "mix" of singers, dancers and others for the BGT final, so they "arrange" the acts very carefully putting several of the same type on the same evening of the semi finals so some just have to be eliminated. Very unfair and a bit "fixed" really. I really can't believe the impressionist got more votes than Jasmine the wonderful singer and everyone loved Trip Hazard the dog act.

It's an entertainment show (so I'm told) so it's fair enough they manipulate it to keep the variety going until the end. Ultimately only one wins anyway, and the rest get their moment in the TV spotlight. The secret of going on must, therefore, be to do something different reasonably ok.
