I don't know a lot about labs but over the years I've had 4 golden retrievers and they were all pretty amazing! They were eager to please, loving, easy to train and unbeatable as a family pet, if that's what you're thinking of. I decided to have a flat coat this time and he's now almost 6. I had him neutered at a year old as flat ties are prone to cancer and I believe neutering takes away the chances of him getting a few different types, but obviously not all. This week I found he has a degenerative bone disease and I don't know if this is something else they're prone to. As far as personality and behaviour is concerned, he's a good lad and I love him to bits, but he's definition been harder to train and he's very stubborn. On the whole, I would definitely recommend goodies.
Sorry about the error in words there. I'm writing on my phone and it's awkward. Goodies should read goldies, flat ties should read flatties and definition should read definitely
