Looks like it, Cmitchell.

Many readers might be surprised to learn that the new leader of the Labour party actually voted to pull out of the EU in the 1970s, and voted against the Maastricht treaty of 1993. What has changed his mind?

He was first elected in 1983 on a manifesto to leave.

Corbyn has always been anti-EU, as most on the far left are.

But Labour Party policy, as democratically voted on at the Party Conference, is that the party is Pro-EU.

So Corbyn has to campaign for the Labour Party line, which is remain, as he is leader, though personally he probably favours leaving.
