Ok,so you live in a street,you get on with most of your neighbours but there is one rich family and a few poorer families living in that street,the rich family want to make rules for the street,they want you to all pay into a kitty to continue living in that street,even though you were fine before,doing what you wanted to do,talking to whoever you liked, buying stuff from whichever shops you chose....but that's all gonna stop,the street decide where you shop now and who you talk to,they decide the rules....they've also decided that anybody in that street can go into your house at anytime and basically do what they want,they can even sleep in your bed if they want to,even if they do bad stuff to you or your family you are not allowed to kick them out,you just have to feed them,give them the freedom of your house and smile politely.
For the privilege of living in that street you have to pay lots of money,even though you'd like to spend that money on your own family you can't because you have to give it to the rich family in the street who decide who gets the money and where you spend it.
The rich family have also spotted a few other poorer families in the next street that they would like to include in their 'gang',you also have to give them money so that it makes it easier for them to join,if they get in the gang you also have to let them have a free run in your house.
Now if this happened in your street would you put up with it?
This is the EU,it's happening,don't let it happen anymore.

I thought I'd make it simple to understand because lots are being confused by Cameron's bull****.

If a person knocked your door and said that he was starving, cold, weak and needed help would you help him, of course you would, but if the next week 1000 people knocked on your door and also wanted you to help them, what would your reaction be? This is my argument about immigration and why I will be voting OUT, Britain has taken enough migrants over many years, we are full, we cannot take anymore, the NHS, transport, housing, schools etc etc are all creaking under the weight of vast numbers of people coming here for a brighter future for them, but a bleak one for me and millions like me!

Why do you think the "rich" family makes the rules that you have to obey? The EU decides collectively on its rules. Who is this "rich" family supposed to be?

The analogy doesn't work at all. This is more lke it...

The street is not dominated by one rich family, it is split in half between the rich in the north, and the poor in the south. The rich families pay the most into the kitty because the amount is based on their earnings. Two of the rich familes run the show.
We are one of the rich families but we choose not to get involved and sit on the sidelines while the other two run it in their favour. Instead, we choose to hang around with some dodgy fringe players.
The poor families get a bad deal because they pay the least in and don't get much say. We also often don't get what we want, but that is entirely due to us not bothering to participate. Most of our representatives are there to undermine the street and not work to make it better, or make it work for us.

If you think immigration will stop if we leave the EU, you are in for a great shock. It won't.

The Greek family were living beyond their means and should not be in the street in the first place. The way they were paying their bills was to max out their credit cards, and that would eventually catch up on them. The rich familes didn't want the embarrassment of the Greek family leaving the street, so they loaned them money to get right. Unfortunately the Greek family spent the money and came back asking for more.

....the greek family also know that the rich families are determined than no one ever leaves the street, come what may so they perpetually get their debt written off and run up new ones because they know there is no limit to the vanity of the "rich" families.

The EU, in the form of the elected ministers, don't have a lot of say on the rules. The Commission decides what the rules are and the ministers can merely accept, or not and accept next time instead.

Families, both rich and poor, in the street council, all have different ideas on which rules/laws are best to pass, and what not; so those with a different minority view get outvoted and have unwelcome rules foisted upon them. This is why one rich family has little influence, they are the sensible minority voice who are obliged to accept what they are told. They will only ever have influence if they abandon their common sense and have a change of view to start supporting that which the street Commission wants.

Or alternatively they can opt to have the courage to tell them that the family isn't going to take it any more, they are not going to quit being a Great Family and simply accept being a Little "Pawn" in the street, but will go and seek their own fortune liaising with all the streets. And should all the other families in the street want to continue to benefit from the association, then they must smartly come up with different agreements that would acceptable to a great and proud family who aren't going to be pushed around any more.
