What a liberty.
Crazy isn't it? Wonder how much they throw away because no one will pay such daft prices.
12/- ?
For a 'nana?
Lawks....
Sheer thievery!
Bit like the drinks I bought at St. Pancras the other day, Daisy......needed another to get over the shock....

Mind you....I wanted some Co-Op crispy bacon to sprinkle on salad last week....I could have one for £2.19 or their red special offer!!! Buy two for £5.00........ :-)
I wonder how many did, without thinking gness. :-)
I think it was 1973, I was on a train journey, headed for the bar, a small can of beer was 10/-. It wasn't even cool. The same can elsewhere was about 1/6 . I didn't bother.
I have a rule when travelling by car.....apart from something like a newspaper, which has a marked price, I very rarely buy anything from Motorway Services areas....90p for a Mars Bar is extracting the urine.

Ditto with trains. I am having to make 4 journeys up and down to Town over the next 6 weeks, and apart from a cup of tea, I shan't be buying any of their over-priced stuff. I will make my own sandwiches or buy them from somewhere like Tesco in advance.

If we all starting rebelling, than the prices would soon come down...power to the people !
I find it is the same when visiting sporting venues. Back in 2005, a friend and i spent two weeks holiday visiting a different racecourse nearly every day (we did 10 in 14 days). At most, the average price for a pint of John Smith's smooth was about £2 (or thereabouts, as i recall). Having already paid £13 taxi fare from the railway station to Gosforth Park, Newcastle, i was astounded to be charged £6 for 2 pints! We didn't back a winner between us that day, it was another £13 back to the station and that was the only day it rained. Never been back to that course since (and now that it has been altered to an all weather surface, i never will.
Honestly, it's enough to drive you round the bend.
lawks a lady !
how long has it taken you to realise that the mark up in railway shops is gigantic ?
You're paying for convenience - and pay and pay and pay
( bit like hospital shops)

I find water most irritating 29 p a litre in the local
and up to £2 for half a litre at the railway shop ....
Ken come to our local live comedy louunge
I was allowed to accompany some young people - so long as I laughed - and the round was two botts Prosecco - £40 !

I nearly passed out laughing
