Your doctor is quite right to get you checked out. It happened to me and my doctor sent me for a check and ultra-sound scan. It's not horrible. An internal check (like doing a smear), palpation and then ultra-sound. Nothing was found to be wrong so it was a hormonal kick. Interestingly they found the remains of an old fibroid, which explains the rotten, heavy periods I'd been having. Don't worry about it, go along, gyne. can cope if still bleeding.

Better safe than sorry. :o)

Thank you
Going to GP was best thing I ever did when it happened to me....am about to have keyhole surgery anytime soon, + all organised in less than a month.
Impressive.
How did you go on, fruity?

Hi Baths, I have to see Gyno and have blood tests, bleeding has stopped now, thing I dont understand is why doctor is calling it a post menopausal bleed though, when I havent gone the full year without a period yet. Thanks for asking, very impressive timing for your keyhole surgery Baths
Thing is, menopause isn't an exact science and the twelve month thing isn't a magic number, there's always going to be room for manoeuvre depending on other factors like age and medical history. Better safe than sorry.
