do other bloke have an ffinity with their razor? My husbnd has used the same brand of razor blade for about 20 years. It's so unpopular now that there are few plces that sell them any more. I gently suggested he change brand, seeing as they are now expensive and hard to get hold of. Anyone would think i had suggested he eat poison or something! i bought him different brand an he refused to use it!

are you blokes/your blokes so precious about their razors?

Not seen mine for some time.
Like my late husband with his Old Spice. Bought him many other brands of aftershave but he refused to use anything but OS. Creatures of habit.
My OH always sticks to the same brand, too. He refused to use some that I bought by mistake once.
As I put in a post yesterday I use supermarket own brand 'value' razors.
£2.40 for a pack of 10. Which last me 6 months at least.
I can relate to that.
I know its not blades but I use an electric razor that I have had for about 20 years and I still have the one before that which was the first one I ever bought - both exactly the same just an updated model.
What annoys me is when my OH uses it for shaving her 'bits' and leaves a few hairs sticking to it.
It's different strokes for different folks. What suits one chap, isn't going to suit others, we stick with what we like and what works best for us individually.
I really dislike the lube strips that have been added to modern-day razors, they don't allow the blades to cut as cleanly. Can't get Gillette Blue II without lube strips anymore... most annoying!
Yep, my oh is the same. Seriously, it's a flippin razor!

I'm sick to death of looking for blades..
TBH, I'm the same. I always use the same brand. I don't think I would change.
Nope, on the occasions I do use them, couldn't care as long as they aren't blunt.
[So this is where you got to ;-) ]
So, are we all in conclusion that we like what works best?
My father would never use anything else but 7 O'Clock. When I frist started shaving he berated me for buying Gillette.
My dad still uses a shaving brush!
That wouldn't remove many whiskers Cupes!
Gillette Blue II without the lube strip!

Please, can someone re-invent them.
I don't know what razor my OH uses, but it does my armpits ok, lol!
Ssh don't tell him!
I can remember my father sharpening his blades on the palm of his hands. It used to make me cringe.
When I shaved, I could only use Gillette blue, anything else would rip me to ribbons and I could only use shaving oils, never spray foams. and I could never use electric razors, they could never shave me effectively and always left me with a rash.
