Strangest Thing You've Found In Your Home

I just got up just under an hour ago. Made my way slowly up stairs and went to the bathroom. I decided I felt like I could eat something but that wasn't sure about executing my Father's Day plans. Suddenly I hear a noise and I think that a cat is at my dads Father's Day balloon. Made a run for the living room and stop dead when I see a Pigeon sitting on the sofa AND a cat staring it out!

Where do I start, Queenie?.....How about when I was a child....we lived for a while in council houses that all looked the same....and doors were not locked at night....

I got up to go to the loo in the night and found the drunken pastor who lived two doors up sitting on our loo.......poor soul had staggered home and into the wrong house.......x

Well it scared the life out of me, Queenie.....but it amused the adults.....and he'd put his bike in our shed too...... :-)

I went upstairs to the Loo, came down and a cow was standing in the lounge.
I don't know who was scared the most, it was a big one.
At the time we lived on the banks of a canal. Apparently this cow was tottering along the tow path. A passing lady thought it shouldn't be there, so she opened our gate that led off the towpath and ushered the cow into the garden.
The patio doors were open and that is how the cow got in.
I did a stupid thing, I phoned my husband at work, got him out of a meeting and wailed down the phone, "what do I do", he told me to deal with it as he was 30 miles away and couldn't leave the office.
I can't remember how I got it out and back onto the path but I did.
The daft thing is there were a pile of LP's on the floor as I had been playing them. The cow had missed them all. There was no damage done at all apart from my nerves!

Oh, Caran! You have reminded me of what happened in my teen years....my aunt and uncle had a little shop in the back of beyond in Kerry.....a tiny one room affair.
One night I was left in charge of the shop when they went out.....I left the back door open and the cow got in and went behind the counter...which was only as wide as the cow....
That was the night I discovered that cows won't walk backwards..... :-(
