What's that film?

I'm trying to think of the name of a film that was out about the late 90s I think. There was a poor boy who fell in love with a rich girl on board a big fancy ship. The ship is on its maiden voyage and hits an ice berg half way to America and sinks. The boy drowns but the girl lives. I'm pretty sure that its based on a true story. Can anyone help?

Its a film called Overboard starring Kurt Russell and his real-life wife Goldie Finger.
Hes a struggling carpenter struggling to bring up his twelve children alone and shes a very rich bi*ch with golden fingers and a golden horn.
After they crash into the iceberg they survive by clinging to a large piece of MDF which Kurt had been using to make a windowbox for Goldies porthole. Fortunately, Kurt had treated the MDF prior to the collision which meant that they reached dry land without it even beginning to warp.
Goldie then develops amnesia and Kurt manages to convince her that they are married and struggling to bring up their twelve children together. Bit by bit, they fall in love, undergoing many comedy moments along the way, but when her memory returns and she has the chance to get back with her mega-rich husband she chooses a life of struggle, struggling to bring up her twelve children with Kurt. Then he dies.
Its a brilliant film with an amazing theme song by a woman with a very long face which Kurt made from MDF. Hope this helps.
