I Had A Dream.

I dreamt of the day when the hearts of Turkish peasants, eking out a living on the dusty plains of Troy, and fat English farmers in the Shires; Scandanavians tending their porky charges and Greeks caring for their olive groves, would swell with pride when they heard the opening strains of The Republic of Europe’s national anthem.
National boundaries, and nationalistic sentiment, would have melted away as this new nation took its rightful place among the superpowers of the world.
Is it not to be?
