Designing A Page With Columns - Windows 10
1 Answers
I want to make a page with 5 columns, the first one about 5cm wide and the rest equally divided into the remaining space. I need lines between each columns, numbers 1 - about 30 down the l/h side, and lines across between the numbers. I've been to Word and as soon as I think I've completed it, it all vanishes, and there is nothing to print.

a) Show table gridlines (displays a non-printing grid so you can always see the table, even without borders - see below)
b) Add borders/shading to the table (so that there is something to print, by default these do not get created)
How to specifically do the above will depend on your version of Word - so google the above to find the specific method for your version.
