Any Joiners Out There
I have made a dreadful mistake.
I have tried to strip the paint from my staircase and it's a dreadful mess
How much approx would it cost to replace the banister and spindles?
It's an average size semi
TIA

The bannister and newel posts shouldn't be too difficult a job to rub down and refinish, the spindles would be a nightmare..well, they would for me, I wouldn't contemplate doing them.

There are different paint strippers out there. you could try a websearch. I used one called strip away last time I needed one and it seemed to do a decent job. No stripper is perfect though (especially as any decent one is banned on H&S grounds) and liberal use of an abrasive paper is often a good idea. I can't believe you have done sufficient damage to require an expensive replacement though. Worse comes to worst you can always just paint all over the top again.
