I've found this:

forces of the evil, the victory of God on Satan, according to Thibaut Of Langres. Always according to him, it would symbolize those who since the beginning of the world were going to believe in Christ crucified, because in Greek, 300 is represented by the letter T which has the form of the cross.

Its possibly just CCC as Italian names tend to have CC's in them

But I try to see if I can solve a few clues.

In medieval Roman numerals the symbol for 300 was B

If you replace the F (fellow) in Fellini (director) with B you get Bellini (Venetian painter). Assuming 'cigars' is a superfluous word.

Now I know where to get the letter equivalents.
I had NI as the ending so Bellini works. And cigars is the extra word.

I am continuing to learn.
