I think that it was very remiss of the BBC tonight in their initial round-up of the Wimbledon winners in failing to mention Gordon Reid who won the paraplegic wheelchair Singles competition. Having overcome his illness and managing to win the singles title at his first attempt he was my "Real Hero" of the whole of Wimbledon. Well done Gordon.

Just watching the BBC news and they showed him winning and played a bit of his interview afterwards.

£2,000,000 for the singles champions and £50,000 for Heather Watson, bit of a difference eh?
true - that was the loser's prize (m and f) in the second round, singles.....a little unfair, the losers only getting 25 k each for the mixed.
It was also more entertaining the women's singles final.
The news I saw had a clip of Gordon Reid winning
