Tuesday. Lots of rain during the night. A bit better this morning, still cloudy though.
Tiggy was out for his supper, a wee wander round the garden and off to bed, he just beat the rain. Clever wee lad. :o}
Not much on today. so far!

Ah...thanks Minty...missed that earlier ! Looks nice, but there again, I have never met a pie that I didn't think was nice !
In 1965, when I was 12, I went on a trip to Switzerland, from my school in Somerset. Coach all the way to Dover, Ferry across, and a French train to Interlaken.
On the way home, our Hotel had made us some very meagre packed lunches, which didn't really last to Calais !
On the way home by coach, we stopped at some greasy spoon roadside cafe, much favoured by lorry drivers, somewhere on the South Coast....no Motorways in those days ! The Teacher gave us all our last shilling to buy something to eat.
I chose a Bowyers Steak and Kidney Pie, and a steaming pint mug of tea, and we went and sat with all the lorry drivers. This was before the days of Microwaves, but the pie was as hot as molten lava.
But we were all starving and I recall pouring lashings of HP sauce all over the pie and scoffing it down with great gusto !
I had never tasted anything as good as that pie before, and I drove my poor mother mad over the next few weeks, imploring her to buy these Bowyers pies all the time !

Its such a nice today I have changed my mind about going to work, and instead I am taking a trip up into the Beacons instead....playing hooky at my age !
