....an unexpected find......The Shaughraun by Dion Boucicault.....a brilliant and funny play...set in Ireland with a large cast, a band and a dog.....
It was performed by The Shoestring Theatre Company from Stamford and they're taking it to The Minack Theatre in August......one of the most wonderful theatres in ....the world really.
If you're down south and can get a ticket it's not to be missed.....the setting will be perfect for this play......x

The sets were very clever, the music was great (and fitted in to the play very effectively) and the standard of acting was better than many of the touring performances I've seen by professional companies.
It will be super at Minack - just wish I could get down to see it there

It was a very jolly outing (oops, I seem to be channeling JJ here) for our quiz team - and the few (ahem) drinks afterwards were quite nice too.
Now, where are my hangover pills ...
