Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

As I had finished the Times cryptic, I decided to have a go at Azed's crossword. Very humbling! I have managed just 8 answers with a tentative two more. SWMBO says I have spent too much time on it. As ever, she is right. But I shall have another go, next week.

The Sunday Times Mephisto is similar to Azed, and the former Independent on Sunday's Beelzebub

As a newcomer to Azed, you might find the commentary on my web site useful - each week I try to select the trickier wordplays or more interesting clues for explanation/comment:

If you are new to barred crosswords as a whole then I would add that the 'plain' Azeds are a very good place indeed to start (the occasional 'specials' do tend to be tougher).

Thank you sir. I found your explanations VERY interesting. If I am allowed i shall have another go tomorrow. I am not too bad at the Times jumbo ( with guidance from others!)) so this will stretch me further.
