I would never leave a young child in a locked or unlocked public area, in any weather, for any length of time, and especially if not in my sight. And I can't imagine doing so. If you leave a young child in a car it is a contemplated action and a risk

No one is claiming to be perfect.I find it odd that some ABers a week or so ago expressed their glee that a matador received the ultimate final punishment for cruelty to animals by being gored to death by the bull!!They said "Good". Seems the bull gets more sympathy for mindless cruelty than children.
On the thread mentioned, I did not rejoice in the Bullfighters death.
As a parent who has made many mistakes and had lapses of memory when mine were young ( won't bore anyone with instances) - I know how fortunate I have been.
This was a truly outstanding thing to do, everyone was aware of the heat and as a Mother/Guardian of a seven year old this lady must surely have known the potential consequences.
I hope the Police Officers words were stern indeed and the shock has made her think carefully for the future.
As said already, thank goodness the children are safe.
