At the mo I am taking Glucosamine/chroindin - whether it is psychological or not - think they help.

I have severe osteoarthritis in my whole body which started out as rheumatoid arthritis. This burnt itself out more or less but I still get flare ups. There's not much they can do for these things. I take painkillers as and when .Supplements have done nothing for me over the years and I've wasted lots of money on them.

Symptoms etc and some advice. It's a complicated thing. When I was last at the pain management clinic she seemed to think I had some symptons of fibro as well as all the other stuff. Deep joy :)
Don't push yourself though if you don't feel like it .I walk with a stick now but manage to get from A to B without falling over ..lol.

If I recall correctly, fibromyalgia is an auto-immune condition and, recently, researchers are saying that auto-immune conditions are a consequence of excessive cleanliness, of all things. The immune system cannot find any germs to attack, so it mistakenly attacks parts of the body, instead.
That said, I'm not going to suggest you start adopting slovenly domestic habits. It should be sufficient to just increase the time you spend outdoors, exposed to regular allergens, like pollen, dust, pets and other people.
There is a vicious circle in terms of muscle pain inhibiting exercise and lack of activity causing weight gain. Brisk walking is probably your best starting point. Don't jog while your BMI is still rated as obese as you'll risk damaging your hip, knee and ankle joints.
Walking is the most energy-inefficient form of travel, in terms of calories burned per unit of distance, which makes it the best for weight loss.
