As this , and similar series prove, there is never a shortage of people who are patently unsuited to the the trade, who end up running hotels.

Don't these people think it through in advance?

The guy here - backed by his wife - entertained the absurd notion that that he was a 'people person' - which translates as, he has spent a lifetime as a pub bore,m and now thinks he is wonderful enough to charge people to be on the end of his pointless drivel and stay in his tatty hotel.

The he had the nerve to suggest that he has more experience of running a hotel than Alex Politzi - a member of the Forte dynasty, and and an award-winning hotelier!

No wonder she was reduced to a some pointed language!
