am i pregnant or not

my last period was 17th april. i have done 4 pregnany tests 2 are negaative and 2 posotive. today i have noticed a brown discharge when i go to the toilet although its not enough to use a towel and i have no pains i dont know if this is my period thats just late or maybe i could be pregnant. last year i miscarried at 11 weeks and have since been trying fo another but nothing has happened until now. pls help as i am goig out of my mind i dont know whats going on.

Home pregnancy test cannot give a false positive, so if your home tests have given you a positive, then you are pregnant. Many GPs will not even carry out a blood test in the surgery if a woman has already had a positive from a home test, because these results are so reliable. kick3m0n is right - a pregnangy test cannot detect the pregnancy hormone if you are not pregnant - so congratulations!!

Please see a doctor. It sounds as if you are pregnant but the brown discharge should be checked out. Good luck!

yep the others are right there is no such thing as a false positive. It is possible to have slight bleeding around the time the first period was due as well as some spotting.

I have also been told that brown blood isnt always a concern but that bright red fresh blood is a sign that things may not be right.

Go to your GP asap and get tested there, as you have previous history of a m/c they can get you scanned earlier in many cases and this will hopefully put your mind at rest. Fingers crossed for you.

I know a false negative is likely with home tests but a false positive is practically impossible!
