How long will insulin last if not in the fridge?

I would not risk keeping it out of a fridge for more than an hour or two. It specifies it has to be kept below 5 deg C
If you haven't got a working fridge can you put it in an insulated bag with a few ice cubes?
well the same ref says it us stable at decent room temp 15 - 28 d
My son keeps his stocks of insulin pens in the fridge but the pen he has in use he keeps in his jacket or trouser pocket while going about his daily business so he always has it with him.
The same in use pen is kept anywhere he happens to put it when he gets home..worktop, table, etc., not in the fridge.

He's had type 1 diabetes for 25 years, I've no idea if he's read the URL or not.
About 24 hours
Once removed from the fridge it should be disposed of after 28 days. Insulin should not be injected directly after removing from the fridge
