I have used above to great avail however after many years use they have become extremely limp. I bought new ones which were 3 in a pack and right away I knew they are too limp too - the flies get away.

Where can I buy a strong one. I don't want electric etc ones. thanks

Try a tennis racket with the strings covered in double sided tape.

That'll catch 'em!!!!!!
I'm a good fly squatter jj, you can use me;-))
^ LOL Swatter!!
Yesterdays newspaper, help to save the planet!
I just pull open the net curtains and usher the fly outside with a cushion. Sometimes it's easy and others it's like playing at Wimbledon but I suppose I could always see the cardio benefit of the David and Goliath, Woman vs Fly.

Otherwise use a hardy fly spray from the pound shop but watch out as once you spray them they attack for a few minutes before dying.

Olivio - don't have nets - used to tho - windows are wide open - oh no they can find their way in but can't find their bloody way out.
They're horrible JennyJoan especially the giant Bluebottles which appear to be getting larger and larger each year. I'm pretty sure I saw one the size of a golfball the other evening. Scary.
Have you thought about fitting fly screens to your windows jj?

too many windows and too big - most of them are like the size of shop windows. no, the oul swatters (durable) ones are great - I'm great at killing the funkers LOL
Someone I once worked with could kill a fly by cutting them in half with a cooks knife. His success rate was breathtaking!

oh Yuck
That's mildly scary.
He was a mildly scary kinda guy........
Hopefully he washed it properly before using it to finish prepping the customers meals EcclesCake, but even then, Ewww.
I use an elastic band................bit messy though. I used to be able to get them in mid air

That reminds me of when I was a kid Eccles.
Me and my elder brother use to catch the bed bugs, put them on paper, and burn them alive on the gas cooker ring!
I have one of those electric tennis racquet types. Don't have to catch them in the air - if they are on a window you cover them with racquet and they roast when they try to fly off!
you can buy the battery racquets in poundland for a pound. I have 2 and they are brilliant
