hiya, iv had to apply to the child maintenance service and have opted for the direct pay option...after going through the phone call i gave them what i thought was my ex's address for the lady to say that they have a more updated one that was changed in the last couple of weeks (not sure how she knew this?)
Anyway the lady said she will contact my ex and then it all goes from there, they wasnt very helpful so was wondering if anyone has used this service and can explain to me how direct pay will work, he already has my bank details from a previous family arrangement so will it be a matter of telling how much he is to pay and he chooses a date to set it up as standing order??
thanks for any advice/help

yes they are government run, they get maintenance money for children off of the parent who does not have day to day care
then that's where they got the adress then. I moved a year ago, and didn't tell one particulr govt run enterprise (not deliberately - just didnt get round to it) however, they wrote to me t the new address
