my car battery ran flat and kenwood -kdc-5090r cd receiver is asking for a code which i do not have and the serial no is y226622-71 could somebody please help me get my music back on in the car

You could try using zeros as the code numbers. maybe it wasn't programmed with a personal code unless you put one in or the previous owner? so it may be defaulted to ie; 0000 until it's changed. good luck! or can you get in touch with the last owner?
