Owner is responsible for not controlling the dog. I was already under suspicion of being dangerous and so should have been muzzled as a precaution, when out in public.

The dog was released from custody because it was not found to be of a dangerous breed or within the restrictions of the bull type dogs.

Therefore it would not have to be muzzled in public.

If it has been in custody for several weeks - they are not allowed out of their kennels for any exercise (prisoners get more exercise than the dogs do)

Until more information is know perhaps opinions should be kept to theirselves over the owners and what did and did not happen!

What we do know is that the owner failed to prevent a fatal attack by their pet. A pet that seemed so much like a dangerous breed it was kept in custody for some time while it was investigated. For that we need to wait and see ?

There will always be one that does not blame the fluffy ickle puppy. The thing should have been put down -it was not taken away by the police for no reason. Pounded dogs DO get exercise and are probably looked after in better conditions than at home!

Retro pounded dogs do not get exercise - look up the news story of Hank just recently in northern Ireland - he was not exercised the whole time he was in custody - the council admitted it.

I have vast experience in dog rescue and welfare I have seen these types of dogs time and time again.

I did not take the fluffy puppies side I gave another side!
