Hi all you nice techies. I am going to try Skype with my friend in Australia - now the big thing is I don't have a clue.

First of all I have contacted friend in question with the "time"

Second on my outlook/email there is a S sign when I click onto it it says Skype.

Sorry don't know what to do next - thank you.

If I get a guide between now and Sat I can "try out".

^^^^ by the way she has just emailed there to say it would be "better" for her to Face-time - of that I haven't a baldy.

face time only works if you are both on Apple !

What's Apple MM - the only one I know is the one you eat LOL - only kidding - but am not on apple - it will have to be Skype - right next Minty

first ask her what her skype name is..open skype type in her name and send her a request a bit like Facebook..when she agrees to be a skype friend it is simply a matter of selecting the video call icon after you have selected her

has she asked you to be a skype contact yet..you will have to accept the request...when she then calls you you will hear an alert tone...open skype and take the call..

thanks MM for taking time with this but am going to bed soon as am not too good. but for what it is worth. I went into the letter S and brought my friend's name up and typed a worthless note but couldn't find where to send it - also forgive me for this but I thought her and I could see each other. Don't get me wrong on Saturdaynight. Will that happen.

when you said I should "take" the call do you mean as in "listening" if it's that I couldn't do that I can't hear - she should have known that.

I was going by looking at her face and lip-reading or was hoping to.

once you have accepted the contact request ..and she calls you on video ..then you can see her..you can also speak only with the call option...select the camera icon to make video call... but none of that can happen 'till one of you sends the request and it is accepted..like Facebook
