Mine are huge.... Touching at the back & white spots...
I had lympha-something of head neck & face two wks ago and tonsillitis.... Completed a low dose antibiotic a week ago and now its back...
Im struggling to even swallow water i feel really chesty and my ears are popping - into the bargain i have a swollen neck and bloody conjunctivitis in both eyes
Painkillers arent really helping at all. Ive got an app to meet with ENT regarding tonsillectomy... Id like to avoid bothering my gp again and id absolutley hate to go to a&e for something so minor but im struggling to swallow even water
Any suggestions - ps difflam spray dosent help the pain is so far down my throat xx
I feel your pain... You poor thing. I always suffered with tonsillitis til they took mine out. Warm salt water gargling is all I can suggest .mine never went without antibiotics. Rest up and take care x
It sounds like you need a higher dose of antibiotics, at least. If this happens often you might think about a tonsillectomy. I've heard that it's quite a tough recovery period for adults, though.
Sounds like glandular fever to me........a blood test would soon confirm the diagnosis. See your GP to arrange this test.
Provided that you feel well, antibiotics are not necessary.
Drink plenty of fluids and take ibuprofen 600mgms every 4 hours if necessary.
If it's glandular fever, you have my sympathy. You may get a tiny touch of jaundice, lumpy arm pits and hepatosplenomegaly (enlargement of the liver and spleen). Your GP can assess you for these clinical signs and do a blood test called a monospot.
