I dont really know much about doors. A Hole has accidently been knocked through our bathroom door. It is a door that is suprisingly thin. It has a layer of cardboard in between it that is honeycomb shaped. Is this a sapele door. If so does anyone know where I can get a replacment one. Thank you

The construction method is common these days on plain and moulded surface MDF doors. If it's a painted finish it's possibly one of these. Sapele doors are plywood, showing the sapele wood grain on the outer surface. These are more often of wooden block inner construction, making them heavier and sturdier than the MDF ones. Most DIY stores normally stock both MDF and sapele doors,

This is an interior panel door.

You can buy them very cheaply (under 30) from any merchants such as Wickes, B&Q and so on.

If you buy a new sapele veneered door you might find that it may not match with your existing doors. Almost any timber changes colour over the years. Still changing all your doors would seem a bit extreme!

...........Although if you intended to change them eventually, perhaps now might seem a good time to do it..lol
