Just got back from taking 4 grand-kids on a trip to the seaside. We stopped for a drink in a local pub (North Norfolk) A childs size glass of lemonade with ice was £2,90 that must work out at over £20 a pint!!!! ( 1/2 of the glass was ice) Beer was £3.20 a pint!
It will be cheaper once they are old enough to drink beer!
I have worked in many pubs I know how much post mix cola & lemonade cost! (less than 20p a pint!)
I think it is a rip off and there should be a campaine for 'fair price soft drinks'
I would think twice about giving up alcohol if that is the alternative!
The answer is to go prepared and take plenty of those small individual cartons of orange juice and apple juice out with you when you go out with the children. It would save you a fortune instead of paying silly pub prices just for a drink for them all.
