Just been and snaffled two Empire Pies, two lots of garlic mushrooms, a passion fruit roulade, and a couple of slices of lemon tart. Two bottles of Merlot completed my basket. Not bad for £20 :)

Personally I think the Waitrose offers are rubbish compared to M&S - I mean, since when did a pizza constitute "dining in"?
Where I come from snaffled means stole.

My eyesight is getting worse; I thought the title read Dine in for a Tanner. Those were the days.
They were indeed. Two fish suppers with mushy peas, a penny ha'penny each and enough left over to pay for a couple of pints in the pub later. :-))

Ha ha, I think it actually means that where I come from too.
A meal, five park drive, and a trip to the pictures, all for a tanner, what a life we lived!

Well diddly, a nice pizza, a side dish of something, a pud and a bottle of wine doesn't sound bad to me.
diddlydo....I've never seen pizza on Waitrose's "Dine offer"...last time I had ranch steak and Moroccan Chicken, dressed crab, profiteroles, rich chocolate tart and the wine.....totalled £19.40, for a tenner.
looked at the offers -

lasagne al forno

and steak lasagne - what would be the difference

Was tempted to go in to M&S then refused as there is far too much food in my freezer and I want to get it used up.
A whole chook, two lamb steaks, garlic shrooms, potato croquettes, lemon tart, Creme brûlée and two bottles of white wine.

I'm a happy bunny :-)
Chicken, pork chops, salad, potato rosti, lemon tart, passion fruit roulade, one white and one red wine.

I bought other things too. My bill was £81.00.

The cost after saving deductions.....£57.87......Brilliant!
Waitrose's £10 Meal for Two has just started....here's the selection.....

(I can recommend the sea bass, ranch steak and piri-piri chicken as mains, the wheatberry mixture as a side and just about any of the desserts. The red wine isn't bad, either!)
