This is just me being peeved, just got back fron work, and they are going to Medically retire me. This just because, to save money, I was only given an X-Ray before the operatio, and something that should only take two weeks to heal, is as bad now, as it was back in November.

NOW, they've decided to give me an MRI scan, just a bit late I think.

But my warning is, if any of you have a probable torn cartliage, insist on an MRI scan, if this had been done in the beginning, I wouldn't soon be looking for another job.

Lonnie, you're that nice train driver that I annoyed in my post about "easy jobs", aren't you? I'm so sorry to hear that, not only are you losing your job, but that your joint is still in such a bad way. That's dreadful, you've every right to be peeved (I'd be furious) but well done for trying to help others with your advice. Good luck with your job hunting, and I really hope you're properly on the mend soon. tc x
Hey Lonnie, sorry to hear that, you sound like one of lifes good guys so you'll be ok. Good luck with the job hunting and i'm a great believer in things happening for a reason, fate steps in although it doesn't always seem like it at the time, who knows what is around the corner. Best wishes

Hi Lonnie, Sorry to hear that,it is a joke isn't it, can't your union rep fight this for you? or is there a cut off point for returning to work? A torn cartilage is very painful and takes a long time to heal,so I do feel for you,

If you do lose your job, what will you do for work? I do hope things start to improve for you,in the meantime I can only wish you a speedy recovery from now, take care and don't start worrying about work, speak to you again, Ray

As julie says, most things do happen for a reason, but it isn't always clear at the time, things will work out for you.

I am sorry to hear this Lonnie ..we always have such nice chats in Gardening etc. What a bummer for you.
I hope things soon change for the better for you ..make the most of this lovely weather in the meantime and take care.

Thanks Kick, thats a really nice thing to say, but yes, since i've had this thing, i've noticed one or two others come on asking about Torn Cartilages, so I thought that after whats happened to me, this conceivabl;y could happen to someone else, and if whats happened to me, can help somone else, some good might come from it.

Julie, thanks for your optimism, its probably just what I need right now, i'm not usually on for feeling down, musy confess, I do a bit right now, but things'll look better in the morning.

Shaney, thanks also for myour post, and regardless, I look forward to reading more of your gardening posts, they are always knowledgeable and full of common sense.

Hi Ray, unfortunately its not a joke, i've been told i've got thirteen weeks left, then Medically retired, really, all because the consultant did an X-Ray instaed of an MRI Scan, I am having an scan at the end of the month, but thats now too late.

I'm sure that it is cureable, but my boss won't give me the time, the union represented me, but didn't come up with anything. But thanks for your thoughts, it is nice to know that there are people like you and the others around.

The worlds not such a bad place, and i'm sure something'll turn up.

What a horrible thing to have happened Lonnie. We haven't 'met' a great deal but I remember your wise advice about rats. I send my best wishes to you and hope that everything turns out OK in the end. Keep your spirits up. xxxx
