Depends... at least here in the U.S., Federal standards require ice cream to contain a minimum of 10% milk fat (about 7 grams (g) of fat per 1/2 cup serving) and 20% total milk solids by weight. Some premium ice creams contain 16% milk fat. Ben and Jerry's, one of the better known premiums here has 250 Calories per half cup serving, whereas Edy's, another premium that markets a low fat ice cream, which has 90 calories per half cup serving...

Well it really depends on how much you eat, a small serving every now and then will be no problem but a 1 litre tub every day might!! be fattening.

There's a new range called'skinny cow' which is low in calories and actually tastes nice. Try their cookies and cream lolly which has less than 100 cals. you should be able to find the range in most supermarkets.

couldn't care less how fattening it is. i love it, love it, just love it! i eat it every day. sometimes for breakfast and dinner.
am addicted to ice cream could never get enough. lol

diet ice cream taste horrible. whole milk, full cream yum, yum

As yinyang said, you MUST try Skinny Cow's ice creams- they're gorgeous! My freezer is full of 'em. The Chocolate Fudge Sticks are only 73 calories each too- and more chocolatey than a Magnum, IMO.

(PS- If you say you need to lose weight one more time, I'm gonna have to cyber-puch you on the nose ;o))
