I have just answered one of your earlier questions, before I realised you had posted more questions on the time spent learning. Not being a Bricklayer or Plasterer, I can't tell you what would be quickest. I am a time-served journeyman and know that to achieve the best you can in any profession, you need to spend time learning properly BY qualified people. Is the reason you want to learn quickly purely for financial reasons? The reason I ask is you would make more money in the long run if you work hard and qualify properly, rather than just learning how to lay a couple of courses of bricks. Good luck anyway!
Anybody can learn to do something quickly the point with plastering & bricklaying is to learn to do it properly, sloppy work leaves you open to lawsuits & a bad reputation.
As I have also said before. Both Bricklaying and Plastering are easy to learn difficult to master if you want to make quick money I guess plastering would be best.
To be a fully qualified plasterer takes a minimum of 5 years, brick layer a bit less. But even the best labourers never stop learning their trade as new things to help their work are invented all the time, so it is an ongoing process.
