Whiplash should be an anticipated and accepted risk of driving or being carried as a passenger. That would cut claims dramatically and hopefully reduce our car insurance premiums.

It'll get to the point that every vehicle will be fitted with a "black box"....something young drivers have to have to monitor their driving so they can get cheaper insurance.....if they drive properly.
Seems logical to me......you drive within the law, you get decent car insurance.....drive like a ***, you wont

It'd make little difference. Poor drivers are identifiable from their record anyway. Every insurance company will get a percentage of claims that they pay more for and a percentage that they pay less for than they would if exact facts were known, so in the larger picture it all evens out. So why lumber themselves with processing extra detail that doesn't benefit them. They're in the risk business to make money not record reality in detail.
Proving an accident was not your fault may not help your insurance premium.
Once you make a claim, any claim, you get a 'Claims History' on your insurance record. A person with a claims history will be charged an extra premium as the insurance company assume that having once claimed you are more likely than average to make another claim. My daughter left her car correctly parked in an official car park. When she got back someone had hit her parked car and cause £100s damage.Even though the insurance accepted she was 100% not at fault she still had to pay an excess premium on her insurance for 5 years due to her 'claims history'.
