More Blackberries !

Picked another pound or so of blackberries this afternoon, in between the showers. Loads about...must be a very good year for them.

This time I will just stew them with a sprinkle of Canderel, and have them with some ice cream ( huge tub of Vanilla Ice Cream from the Co-op...only £1 ! )

I like to them in my porridge at breakfast too and add them to yogurts for pudding. And it'll be crumbles at weekends until Christmas

Drool! Must say,it went eerily black for a time where I am but hardly any rain!

If I have time this weekend, I will pick some more and the freeze them....makes sense, this food-for-free !

mikey, I caught a squirrel edging along my garden fence to get to them, it's put me off picking them to eat.

Yes, I freeze them straight away mikey and they sometimes last me through until the new year. I'm amazed at how quickly they reappear- I can strip a bush and then a few days later a similar number have appeared. I think we have just passed the peak time and that we have little more than a week left for bulk picking.
