if you look at the item description for ebay number 9731620042 in the questions part, the sellers logic suggests she is using it with a pc.

also i've uninstalled i tunes with the intention to re install it to see if that helps however when i try to reinstall my computer just says "Download accelerator plus cannot be loaded, press the back button" I ve been to remove programmes to get rid of download accelerator plus but its not their - this is frustrating!

I'm almost totally sure the 3G iPod was the first to officially be supported on windows (I bought one the first week it came out, because of this fact).

the one above is a 2G model. he says it came with musicmatch. have you tried using musicmatch with it? (i've never used musicmatch, but i assume from the seller's notes that you can use it with that).
