I have finally tracked one down, and I have to say that I like it !

They have had these out in OZ for long enough.

Several countries use plastic notes.

Islay

They had plastic fivers in Northern Ireland 3 or 4 years ago.

Apparently there are rare ones that are selling for £200 on EBay, just been reading.
