Thanks Calibrax and mallyh for your help. I had thought of hood for No.38 as that's a hat like bonnet - but what's the connection with Baltimore? Poacher is a good suggestion - I had wondered about Battery (hens) as in assault and battery? And that connection made me think of Assault for No.22 as its a type of ship? Your help is appreciated.

got that back to front the americans call a bonnet of a car the hood.
