I have three grown-up children, and if any of them had decided to have a tattoo, I would have been worried, only that they went to a registered and regulated tattooist, and that they didn't regret it later.
But if they did - that is their decision. I would not dream of being such a fascist as to dictate anyone's body adornment as a condition of living in my house, and certainly not my children.
Part of being an adult is making decisions you have to live with, part of being a parent is teaching your children that concept.
It is not then for you to sanction them because you disapprove of how they treat their bodies - they are adults and have a right to behave, and be treated as such, and that includes respect and minding your own business!
AH. Thanks for your reply.
Well, it's not every day I get to be called a fascist on AB, especially in a judgmental, sanctimonious and know it all manner.
I'll be coming to you for walking on water lessons....
