Tripadvisor - Response To Response To Comment
13 Answers
I commented on tripadvisor about a visit to a hotel. Basically I said that my experience with the meal was ***, very expensive, small portions and a wait of almost an hour between our arrival to being served. I also objected to a service charge being automatically included in the bill. The hotel manager responded and said 'a number of your comments are factually incorrect'. This is not true. I made 4 complaints, each one was absolutely correct and could be substantiated by our friends. However, I cannot find any way of adding a further comment within the tripadvisor post. I have emailed the manager, but of course he has not bothered to reply. Is there anyway I can refute his comments to my first post in tripadvisor? Or is that it - I say 'bad', he says 'no it wasn't' and that's the end of it.

Or only on TripAdvisor afterwards?
Too easy to post negative comments online nowadays without having to engage on a one-to-one basis!
Most places have the waiting staff ask you "How was your Meal? " or similar. That is the appropriate time to tell them about any problems, isn't It?

yeah that should be OK. Leave it
If I read a report - that said this really is crip and had Basil Fawlty reply - no it isnt
I would draw the obvious conclusion - and decide whether I wanted to go elsewhere
I usually only write up the good ones
and for a bad one - shrug my shoulders and think - well market forces should take effect ....I notice that the really bad ones ..... go out of business a few months later and I conclude the staff know that the writing is on the wall and act accordingly
