Migrating Email

I have a Live Mail email account which appears to work no longer. I have set up a new Outlook email account I would like all the email that previously went to my live mail account to go into this new account and ultimately to get rid of the live mail account

Can anyone please give me an idiot's guide as how to do this. I would stress the idiot part as I often can't locate things on the web
